This is the first quilt that Debbie and I quilted on the HQ. We really had no idea what we were doing, but knew that we needed to quilt a quilt. This was Debbie's and it was just going to be h on her bed. So, we quilted it. We were white knuckled while we were quilting, and we quilted the snot out of it. I think that we used 10 bobbins....anyway, Debbie brought it down so I could look at it, because I really like it and wanted to check out the pattern she used because I knew it was different than the one in the book that I have. Well, it is lovely and several people offered to take it off her hands...but, she managed to make it back to Woodstock with it. It inspired me to keep going making lots of double pinwheel blocks....16 down hundreds to go.

Hopefully you are not tired of quilting Mondays.
Double Pin Wheels.
We cut lots of strips and now I am sewing them back together. This part is going pretty fast. I do love the 1930 reproduction prints.
Here are some of the dog eared clippings, and the "extra" blocks that are left from cutting the pinwheel strips.
Here's just a few of the double pinwheel blocks. 6 done and 152 to go. They make me smile.

Webb Baby Quilt.
One of the fun things about being at the Well is we get to be friends with lots of young families. So, I get to make lots of baby quilts. I almost always make "Yellow Brick Road" I made this one using some of the new beach fabrics and some brights. It was fun to do and I can't wait until baby boy Webb comes into the world and gets to use it.
Pungkin Peers.
Here's the new Halloween faric that we recently got in. Marie and Sami made a great little wall hanging using the split rail pattern and the panel as a focus fabric. Pumpkin Man is a class that we are having on September 26th. Just in time for a fun decoration for your festivities.

The day after Sunday.
Okay, i had an allergy attack tonight while we were at olde town downtown dinner. And I'm not feeling all that great so I'll post more pictures from today tomorrow. Here is a picture of Sabueso and Tallulah keeping me company while I was quilting and cleaning in the shop today.

Lots of time at the HQ today.
So, this one time I thought that I could get 3 quilts done in one day. Hmmm, I forgot that this first quilt in the queue was a large quilt that the owner wanted quilted with feather wreaths in the large white squares and stuff in the borders and stippling in the rest..........well it took me seven hours to get it quilted.
*sigh*
So, instead of the the normal two quilts and the lofty goal of three quilts, I only got one done....
*sigh*
Good thing I am a little ahead of the quilting this month.
I do however, think that it looks really great.
Here's a close up of some of the quilting.
Here's the back of this large sampler quilt. There is lots of quilting and it almost looks like a whole cloth quilt.
*sigh*
